A stone is not chosen. It is met. The first criterion is endurance: a stone that fades after six months of wear has no place in a Laracca bracelet, whatever its name or origin.
Density comes next. A stone must have real weight between the fingers, a compact matter that resists daily use. Imitations — tinted glass, resin, aggregates — are set aside without debate.
Then comes colour, and above all its stability. Deep blue sapphire, almost-black garnet, sea pearl with its cool sheen, tightly fibred rudraksha. Tones that hold across seasons, that do not pale under direct light.
Origin matters too. We work with suppliers whose traceability is clear. No long speeches on ethics — a considered choice, a short chain, partners known to us over years.
The symbolic side remains. Rudraksha, pearl, sapphire each carry an old story. We keep them for how they hold over time, not for esoteric promises. If a stone offers something more to the one who wears it, so much the better — but that is never the first reason.
